sl4j 1.3 is out - contains a new packaging and seems to be OSGi-fied. Would be nice if we could use the official jars w/o any intervention from our part.

I'm curious why did you choose to have the jcl104-over-slf4j and slf4j-api into the root pom and slf4j-log4j12 / 1.2.13-SNAPSHOT only in some of the child pom's? Why not have them all in the root pom?

To not force a special logging implementation. However, since we are using log4j all over, will move this into the parent pom.
